Every day, more than three million professional truckers climb behind the wheel and roll goods of every description to destinations across North America. Select 1 Group (S1G) is honoring its drivers again this year as part of National Truck Drivers Appreciation Week (NTDAW) with company-wide recognition for the work they and all professional drivers perform.

The American Trucking Association has set this year’s NTDAW for the week of September 14-20, 2014, so Americans can take “the time to honor all professional truck drivers for their hard work and commitment in tackling one of our economy’s most demanding and important jobs”.

Truckers are being recognized not only for delivering goods safely and on time but for their efforts to help keep America’s roads safe.

Select 1 Group, which is a national leader in specialty vehicle transport, mobile exhibit creation and transport and logistics, salutes its drivers every year on NTDAW. S1G President Gary Carlson noted that, “Clients take note of drivers’ attention to detail and relentless determination to provide a quality experience every time”.

This year’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is the 16th annual observance of the event nationwide. Many trucker associations will take part, noting that many Americans have only vague notions of what a professional truck driver must do to earn a living – or of the taxing mental and physical requirements of the job.
