Select 1 Group (S1G) has announced two executive promotions. Bruce Read was named Chief Operating Officer. Bob Neckes was confirmed as Director of Human Resources and Safety. Both moves are effective immediately, said Gary Carlson, S1G President and CEO.

Read was a corporate business consultant with a 34-year history in business ownership, management and finance. “I have been Gary Carlson’s Financial Advisor since 1999 and we have a solid working relationship with trust and understanding of each other,” Read said. “I am fortunate to join a seasoned management team including Gary Carlson, Pat Evo, Rick Johnson and Bob Allen. I report to Gary and provide strategic development and the task of improving processes.”

The rapid growth of S1G and its divisions – Select 1 Transport, Auto Logistics and Mobile X Events – mean the business is growing at a record rate. “Moving into 2015 we look to achieve S1G’s best year ever. All three divisions are in high gear and our loyal employees are primed for the challenge.,” Read said.

Neckes received a new title after being with the company for some time. His management areas remain recruitment and retention, policies/procedures, compensation/benefits, risk management/safety, training and employee relations. “I was promoted to match the title with the responsibilities,” he said.

The promotions highlight S1G’s continuing expansion of its basic long-haul specialized vehicle delivery, mobile events creation and management and vehicle logistics services. “Both of these gentlemen bring a wealth of experience to the Select 1 Group and I am excited about the plans they have for our company,” Carlson said.
